Surface

Letter S is a study into the relief of a letter form over time and is intended to mimic the dark room process that Karel Teige would have used to create his 1926 avant garde alphabet collages.
Much in the same way as photographic paper starts to reveal its image in the darkroom, our sculpture still requires human interaction and judgement to allow these forms to submerge and surface.
